BOSSA NOSSA

Bossa Nossa was born in Granada in 2007 as the fruit of a musical encounter between residents that deeply interested in Brasilian music and with the Brasilian singer  Fernanda Tássia. The original idea when forming this group came from the desire to deepen the various  musical styles that have come from this country; all of which music being the fruit of the coexistence between indigenous, African and European cultures and  world renowned samba and bossanova. The formation's name uses the term Bossanova literally - new style - and Bossa Nossa - our style - playing with the words and interpreting  traditional Brasilian music our own way.Our repertoire takes you through the musical brasilian geography, particularly the two regions that have generated the most variants in its folklore: The Northeast and Southeast. The journey begins in the birthplace of Fernanda Tássia, Campina Grande, in the state of Nordestina de Paraiba, where we find maximum expression of Forró and its variations Xaxado and Baiao. Then on to the South we take a few stops, the first in the state of Pernambuco which highlights the Frevo and Maracatú in its characteristic style. The next stop takes us to Bahía, known worldwide for its Africa influence and its different styles like the Afoxé.In the end we descend to the Southeast: Partido Alto, Samba, Bossanova and Choro are the predominant styles of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
